About

Tom Kuhr is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter for the band Spyderhuff. The group recently released their seventh EP. This solo effort is meant to showcase new material that is rooted in the americana, folk-rock, blues, and country genres. Lyrically, there is a high dose of sarcasm and love for the ironies of life.

Don Beyer is part of this “duo” with his superb composition, mixing, and mastering skills, as well as providing bass and keyboards. Tom and Don grew up together in the Detroit area as friends and musicians in the late 60s, throughout the 70s, and 80s playing in bands from jazz-fusion to hard rock.

Influences include John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Leo Kottke, Buddy Miller, Nick Cave, Warren Zevon, Tom Waits, James McMurtry, and Robert Plant.

A new EP will be available in the fall of 2026. Stay tuned!
